RE: Small 12v Fan for Norcold Refrigerator

Hook the fan across the switch, it will me next to the magnet probably in the wall. hth :)
I don't know how I would find any of those wires. The only wires are 4 that go into the clip for the light. I have the hot red one only when the relay is activated by breaking the magnet from the door as you open it. I don't know if the other three wires are hot at all times.

RE: valterra water regulator

I am not familiar with that kind of regulator. I can tell you that something has gotten inside of it and is plugging it up. If you can take it and put back pressure on it, this may clear it. If it does not do the trick, then you would need to take it apart. I don't know if you can do this with that regulator. I purchased my regulator from RV filtration on the web. It is a WATT 263A and it is worth its money. Mine you can take it apart and buy new parts if necessary.

Small 12v Fan for Norcold Refrigerator

I want to hook up a small fan I purchased in my Norcold refrigerator. It works on 12v and the refer has a magnetic button which when you open the door tells the light to come on. In other words the wire at the light is not always hot. Does anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind there is no switch at the door it works on a small magnet.

RE: HH CKRSB or Select Suites 34RLSB3

I will comment on the RSB portion of your question. We have always liked privacy and the RSB gives it to you. I never cared for the accordion door if your loved one is sleeping and you need to wash your hands. the are roomy but mine has no window, I don't know about this floor plan. They both are excellent choices but also look at customer care and how the manufacturer rate as far as service, warranty, and dealing with people and I don't think you will fin anyone better in that department than NUWA. They have their own forum and you can research it to get some feedback @ Nuwaowners.net

RE: greasing 5th wheel pin or locking jaws?

I use grease on the pin and clean the jaws and put white lithium on all working parts on the hitch. I also put white paint on the Jaws so I can see better if they are closed.

RE: Northern CA smoke Hwy 299W closed by fire

Any fires near clear lake, willits, hwy 101?There were (7:00 a.m this morning) 90 fires burning in Mendocino County (Willits), according to "The Ukiah Daily Journal" and the "Willits News".
I live on the North Shore of Clearlake and I cannot see the hill behind my house......I live 1 block from HWY 20
My boss was in Ukiah today and said when she was on 101 enroute to Lake County, visibility was about 500 feet on 101.......:E:E
I sure hope for containment to help the folks with property and homes. I will be going through there just before the 4th of July so I hope they have them out by then.

RE: Where to Go in Oregon

I just went fishing along the Rogue River and saw those Jet Mail boats from Gold Beach - they nearly swamped me as I stood there fly fishing LOL
If you drive up the South Bank of the Rogue River you will find a couple of small State Parks - I don't think they have hookups - Huntley Park and Lobster Creek - they are beautiful locations for boondocking and I watched Ospreys catching fish (they could and I couldn't!!!!), an otter playing in the water (he ate my fish!) and 5 Golden Eagles playing around the trees.
It is the most beautiful State in the Union when the sun shines.
The key question here is "did you catch anything"?

RE: We Need Help!

You are running it to close. What kind of camping are you doing when everything must be turned off in order to run the AC? Not for me. You need a bigger genny to do what you want in this case. In an emergency to run the AC with your setup would work with everything off, but honestly for general camping that setup would be no fun.

RE: Hot Water Smells

All good posts but use Ganzman's method and you will be fine. You may be replacing the anode out if it is a suburban unit. Atwoods you don't have to do that from what I am told.

RE: Installing a second AC unit

Firdude has something interesting. I would check it out but not for the money savings as I will have paid for electricity at the park. My bone of contention is the noise. Mine trailer came with a 15000 btu ducted main unit and a 13500 bedroom non-ducted unit. Two weekends ago I was in Hemet area of CA and it was 97 outside. The mainunit ran and kept the living area cool however just to check out the bedroom unit, it was cold at the lowest setting but very noisy. Keep that in mind when you make your decision. Also the bedroom unit cools so well that it fools the thermostat for the main unit. I may need to do something about that or set the temp for the living area lower. Happy trails!

RE: Vents open or closed during

We are in the lower desert of Ca and we never leave anything open. I mistakenly left the bathroom vent open about 3 inches only to have a 60mph wind sent it to Mexico. $35.oo poorer in repair bills.

RE: 2nd A/C

My unhit had it installed by the previous owner. I used it last weekend. Freezes the bedroom out even on the lowest possible setting. Mine is a 13.5 btu, however it is noisy as well. I guess I will get use to it. The other thing that happens is that because the main unit is on or cycling on & off, if you are warm in the living area you can crank the bedroom up to high to send air down into the living area. What happens is that the cold air will fool the thermostat into a false reading. you have to play with the settings in that case.

Get on the NUWAOWNERS.ORG website because their units have carpet as does mine and I remember reading how to clean them. Just do a search for the post

RE: Trip Planning - Banff/Jasper Questions

I did all the aras mentioned in 2004. I would do it only because it isn't getting any cheaper. Mt Robson is a short trip from Jasper as well. The Provencial parks need to be there in early afternoon to get a good or large spot.

RE: Oregon Dunes

If I remember correctly I thnk you want to go to Honeyman State Park because you have access there and there are areas to jump out to get to the small town to get gas. You are also a few miles from Florence.

RE: California State parks along the coast

g0tta go with 3Xblessed- Carlsbad in northern San Diego is incredible. Can't help or don't know about reservations- but if you can get in there, do it!
Wouldn't even try Carlsbad. Carlsbad state beach is notorious for being booked WAY in advance and usually sells out within an hour of opening up the summer months. Has been that way since I was a 9 year old (and younger) and we would camp for a week at Carlsbad. I'm over 40 now and it's still the same except it's by phone now and in the old days my mom and dad would go down to the ticket place and sit in line hours before it opened to get their week.
Around here, during summer, it does not matter whether it's the weekend or weekday. EVERYTHING along the coast or close to the coast or driving distance to the coast has been booked solid months ago.
This is why I go to Oregon's coast. Never a problem and nicer beaches.

Needed East Washinton Bird Information

Eastern Washington folk I want to place a bird feeder with seed for birds when I go visit this summer. What kind of bird seed should I use? I don't know what kind of birds are in the mountains north of Spokane.
